We are writing to you to invite you to participate in the first World Congress on Twin Pregnancy which will be held on April 16-18, 2009 in an exceptional venue in Venice, Italy.

The frequency, complexity and challenges presented by multiple pregnancies have stimulated dialogue, debate and substantial research around the world. Meetings have been organized to deal with the biology, diagnosis, genetics, clinical management and other aspects of multiple gestation. We have accepted the suggestion of experts and friends that the time has arrived to host a comprehensive meeting focusing exclusively on Twin Gestation.

We plan state of the art lectures delivered by world leaders, focus debates and other sessions to identify the areas of consensus as well as those requiring further investigation.

We are inviting you to join us in the incomparable setting of the St. Clemente Palace, in Venice. This venue offers exceptional facilities where we can meet colleagues and friends, exchange ideas and strengthen the knowledge in this important field of Obstetrics.

We are particularly indebted to all the faculty members who have accepted to present their work and make this event exciting and thought provoking. We also hope that you will take a moment to join us for a special performance in the historical theatre "La Fenice" and have dinner in one of the temples of Italian cuisine.
